Course summary

Make a simple, single signature book with a hand-painted cover you design yourself. We originally developed this course for cruise ships, but it works equally well on dry land!

Tell me more ...

Set aside a few hours (3-5 hours) and enjoy an introduction to the world of books. Begin by painting a vibrant cover for your book using acrylic paints (waterproof and resilient when dry) and then learn about paper grain and the parts of a book before stitching a text block to case into your cover. Every participant leaves with a beautiful book they have created for themselves, with 24 blank-pages and coloured endpapers. We have a choice of fascinating exotic papers for the pages and a step-by-step online tutorial (password-protected) allowing you to continue book-making at home without the need to take notes.
